El Otro Pablo and Alba’s Stance on Pablo Escobar

Alba Marina Escobar, herself, is an author known for the book ‘El Otro Pablo,’ spanning 402 pages. The book offers insights into her life with her infamous brother, Pablo Escobar.

Speaking about her brother, Alba Marina stated that she was a witness and a victim, not an accomplice, of Pablo Escobar’s actions.

She emphasized that her brother intended to be good but was hindered by external forces.

According to her, falsehoods have been spread about Pablo Escobar, and she aims to share what she believes is the truth.

Alba Marina Escobar has spoken out against the many misconceptions surrounding her brother, Pablo Escobar, stating, “Many lies have been told about Pablo Escobar, and the biggest one is that he was a monster.”

She emphasized that she was not an accomplice to her brother’s actions, and Pablo never discussed his criminal activities with the family.

Clarifying her stance, Alba explained, “I am not an accomplice. It is one thing to have an idea of how the cocaine business developed and another to know the hundreds of crimes that were carried out in that process.”

She pointed out that in Pablo’s world, such decisions were not shared with the family.

While Alba Marina asserted that she was not involved in Pablo’s criminal activities, she admitted that, hypothetically, she would comply with simple requests from her brother.

She urged readers not to expect to find a portrayal of Pablo as a monster to avoid reading her book.

Alba expressed her desire to present a more comprehensive view of Pablo Escobar, acknowledging both his flaws and virtues.

She acknowledged his involvement in many crimes but emphasized his humanity and the need to understand both the good and the bad aspects of his character.

In addressing the movie “Sins of My Father,” directed by Pablo’s son Juan Pablo Escobar, Alba played a role in shedding light on her brother’s life.

Despite the public attention on her brother, Alba has managed to keep details of her own life away from the spotlight, maintaining a level of privacy.
